Some things to know about me:
I’m a coach!
I have been in practice since 2018 and have extensive training in therapeutic models like STAIR, Relational Life Therapy, and Developmental and Relational Trauma. I am STAIR Certified as well as a Certified Deliberate Practice Guide. There are definitely differences between coaching and therapy, however, I find that the stances that distinguish my coaching from therapy align exquisitely with the STAIR Method, including Power-with, Of-courseness, Not-knowing, and relationship to Self (PONS). My practice is centered around coaching people in their relationships (a mix of couples and individuals), helping them unwind patterns that are blocking them from the lives they long for. I weave together somatic work, parts work, grief work and other brain-based experiential work alongside deep inquiry and psychoeducation.
I connected with Jules through Relational Life Therapy
We met in 2018 at a training in Boston. I became a superfan of her work when she did some RLT trainings about the neuroscience behind why RLT is effective. I have sought out every opportunity to train with her since.
I am committed to decolonizing wellness
I hold that a lot of ideas about what constitutes mental health and wellbeing are rooted in white supremacist, capitalist, patriarchal, heteronormative, colonial cultures. These cultures hold a belief that some ways of being a human are better or more right than others - which then results in the dehumanization and shoe-horning of folks who don’t line up with those ways of being. The beauty of humanity is in its diversity, and the project of colonization is the destruction of that diversity. I am committed to meeting folks where they are and honoring them as they are. In order to do that, I am and must be in a practice of ongoing deconstruction of the colonialism that lives within me.
Some identities I hold
I am white, a mom, queer, polyamorous, autistic, ADHD, a daughter, and a karaoke queen.
